Welcome to our brethren of Chicopee and Vernon Lodges

Members of Mount Holyoke Lodge:

Welcome to our brethren of Chicopee and Vernon Lodges. It is our honor to have you as members of Mount Holyoke Lodge.

For 150 years, Mount Holyoke Lodge has been actively involved in and around the South Hadley Community; earning the reputation as a leader in western Massachusetts. As we are about to begin our next 150 years, there is some exciting news that I want to share with you.

For the past several months, Mount Holyoke Lodge, along with Chicopee and Vernon Lodges, have been conducting their due diligence regarding the requests received from Chicopee Lodge and Vernon Lodge to merge with Mount Holyoke Lodge. At our December Regular Communication, a favorable report to proceed with a merger was received from the Merger Committee and the members of Mount Holyoke Lodge voted unanimously to have Chicopee and Vernon Lodges join us.

I am pleased to inform you that at the Quarterly Communication of the Grand Lodge of Massachusetts on March 13, 2019, the merger request of the three lodges was approved by the Grand Lodge.

To begin this new chapter in the lives of our three lodges, I extend two invitations to all of you. First, please join us at our Thursday, May 2nd Regular Communication, at which time, dinner will be served prior to the meeting. The menu that evening will be Chicken Francaise, potato, vegetable, and salad. Cost for the dinner is $10.00. Please make your reservations with: R.W. Tyler W. Seavey at 413-883-1467.

Second, mark on your calendar, for Saturday, May 18th, from 1:00-3:00 PM, when an informal gathering will be held at the Mount Holyoke Lodge. This will be an excellent time for all three lodge members to come together for a meet and greet as we celebrate this historic union. Potluck appetizers, desserts and good good fellowship and brotherly-love will be featured on the 18th, so please bring your favorite appetizers and or dessert. Again, a phone call to R.W. Tyler W. Seavey at 413-883-1467 would be helpful for planning purposes.

I look forward to meeting and welcoming all of our new brothers in the true spirt of brotherly-love, as Mount Holyoke Lodge continues to spread Freemasonry as a Way of Life in and around our communities.

Sincerely and fraternally,
Wor. Karl F. Ferguson, Master
